Use earth/skin tone eyeshadow/facial powder/or blush

  • Flat Nose. Apply highlight down the center of the nose, avoiding the sides. Smooth and blend down the center.

  • Broad Nose. Slim down a broad nose with a foundation that is one shade darker than your natural skintone. Sweep along the sides of the nose with a small, firm makeup brush. Start just below the inner corners of the eyebrows, and end at the sides of the nostrils.
Stroke a lighter shade of foundation down the bridge of the nose. Blend well.

  • Narrow Nose. Sweep concealer that’s slightly darker than your natural skintone down the centre of your nose. Then use a lighter shade on the sides of your nose and nostrils.

  • Long Nose. Apply a foundation or concealer that is a few shades darker than your natural skintone onto the tip, between and around the nostrils.

Viral - Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann

Pants & Jacket- I used a red cotton stretch jersey fabric. They are made to fit like tights, very comfortable. I used medical bandages to wrap around my legs. The jacket is kind of weirdly made I drafted my own pattern for it.  It didn’t exactly turn out as I had planned but I can live with it. The fur is hot-glued on the wrists because I failed to sew them on before attaching the sleeves. Fur on collar sewn in. White/orange stripes are fabric painted on.

Cleaver is made out of basal wood and model magic, then painted with acrylics. Made the design to look more “used” than something that has never touched a thing.

Hands were purchased from a Halloween Store.

Belt: Made from Red broadcloth.  I used Velcro to hold it onto my body. The black pouch (also made from broadcloth) in the back is durable enough to hold my cleaver in place behind me.

Shoulder pads are slices of foam covered in fabric with buttons sewn into them. They are sewn onto the shoulders.

Shoes are typical black shoes and I painted the red on the tips.

Ulquiorra Schiffer - Bleach
This cosplay was pretty much my first self-made cosplay.
Process: Hakama (pants) —Found a hakama tutorial online and used that to create them. Used Twil fabric 4 yards because that’s what the tutorial called for and i wanted to make this pants as “authentic” as possible. Part of the 4 yards becomes 2 belts, pants, and front and back panels. The panels have interfacing as reinforcement. I used modified a pattern for the jacket, it didn’t turn out as well as I hoped but i am happy with it. Jacket is also twil lined with black broadcloth.  Hollow head piece—-base is chicken wire and regular straight wire and covered with Model Magic. It has 2 berets embedded on the underside so it can attach to my wig. Makeup is black, white, & green kryolan liquid body paint

Skeleface
An original design. I took inspiration from Halibel’s character design and any and all human skeletal jaws. ^^
This is another design that I had done about 2 years ago. Smoothness of of the paint did not go really as planned and I really did a crap job drawing on the teeth.
Editing: Created a black background, changed hue of skin and a crap-tastic edit job of the eyes.

Jack Skellington - The Nightmare Before Christmas
Here you go with a better re-vamp of an actual costume I will be wearing at conventions. ^_^ Almost 2 years after the fan version I did.
Make up process this time, Products used: Kryolan liquid body paint Black & White.
To apply I used a wedge sponge and applied 3 layers of white paint.  For each layer I had to wait till it was dry enough to apply the second coat.  With the black I used a fine point paint brush to do all the details around the eyes and mouth.  My cheek bones I actually used some black powder and a blush brush to shade them to be a bit thinner looking—-or more masculine.  Hands-I used acrylic white on these because it doesn’t smudge or rub off that much, the black detail is still the kryolan body paint.
The costume: The jacket I purchased and edited to slim-fit my body, added coat tails and fixed the front buttons. Since this picture was taken I added my own white pin stripes because it needed more and it was too symmetrical and I needed it to be more asymmetrical.  Again i purchased some simple black pants (not shown) that I edited as well to be slim-fit then painted on all the white lines. The Tie, I bought at my local Halloween store. Shoes (not shown) are black dickies. Wig was from a previous cosplay in which I brushed out the style and fixed it to my likings (may adjust the style later). Contacts are called Beserker contacts and since I have a dark eye color they tend to turn them a blue hue in pictures.

Going to start off with Jack Skellington (Tribute Makeup)
The Nightmare Before Christmas is my all-time favorite movie and Jack my favorite of all Tim Burton characters he has created.   Back in 2010 I finally decided to do some fun makeup work.  I was just getting into the makeup scene at the time, so I hadn’t a lot of skill to do detail work so his face is pretty plain.
Products: Reminder 2010 new to makeup and just doing this for fun, I used Black & White Acrylic paint! Terrible idea in retrospect and I NEVER recommend using it when you pieces of your face articulating!!!!
Application: 1 layer of white for the base, used a wide bristle paint brush to apply. With a fine point brush I added the black on top and tried to make sure I covered my eyebrows.
“Costume”: Which isn’t a costume, it’s a striped shirt I bought at Hot Topic and a Black wig
Photo Editing: Colored burned/blacked out my eye balls and changed the background to be a basic black.
